This workbook is designed for participants in a PICK (Premarital Interpersonal Choices and Knowledge) a Partner program, a program designed to assess the compatibility of an individual for marriage. It is divided into five sessions that provide information and materials for instructions for 43-minute to 2-hour classes. The sessions address: characteristics of difficult partners in dating relationships; the necessary ingredients for effective personal change; using the Relationship Attachment Model (RAM) for building a relationship and choosing a partner; the five key areas to grow to know (family background, attitudes and actions of conscience, compatibility potential, examples of other relationships, and skills of communication); major predictors for marital satisfaction; trust and reliance; and commitment and the emotional and bonding affects of sexual chemistry and touch. Each session begins with an overview and outline, and includes worksheets and answer keys. The workbook closes with a list of 99 questions to answer in the premarital process.
